Lexful, a Hallandale Beach, FL-based AI-native knowledge operating system for managed service providers, has raised $7M in seed funding led by Top Down Ventures and York IE. The platform structures documentation, assets, credentials, and playbooks into an instantly queryable system for technicians and AI agents. The capital will fund R&D for AI agents, global expansion with data residency, integrations, and partner enablement.
MSPs Shift to AI-Native Knowledge Layers
The timing aligns with accelerating AI adoption among MSPs. Legacy documentation tools like IT Glue and Hudu rely on static folders and wikis that fail to support agentic AI workflows. Lexful's approach builds structured, real-time knowledge infrastructure from the ground up, addressing the gap where outdated data causes AI hallucinations and operational inefficiency.
Stale Data Blocks AI Adoption
MSPs face persistent challenges with fragmented and outdated documentation. Internal data shows 77% of MSP documentation consists of images, while 90% of MSPs report their own data prevents effective internal AI use. Current solutions require manual updates that cannot keep pace with dynamic IT environments, leading to lost tribal knowledge and extended ticket resolution times.
AI-Native Architecture for Humans and Agents
Lexful rebuilt the knowledge layer with automatic sync to live PSA and RMM systems, semantic search on images and diagrams, and an MCP endpoint for native AI agent integration. Unlike bolted-on AI features in legacy platforms or broad enterprise search tools, it creates knowledge that writes and rewrites itself while maintaining zero-trust credential handling and governance controls.
"Your agentic workforce is only as strong as the data it relies on."
Specialist Investors Validate Vertical Focus
Top Down Ventures and York IE co-led the oversubscribed round, both with explicit focus on MSP tools and AI infrastructure. Their backing signals conviction in the shift from legacy documentation to operational intelligence platforms purpose-built for the channel.
MSP Software Market Expands Rapidly
The MSP software market stands at $13.71 billion in 2025 and is projected to reach $44.77 billion by 2035 at a 15.94% CAGR. This growth coincides with MSPs moving from AI pilots to production systems, where structured data becomes essential for agentic workflows. Incumbents remain focused on traditional documentation, leaving room for purpose-built alternatives.
Early Momentum Before General Availability
Lexful launched at Right of Boom in February 2026, earned CRN Best Newcomer recognition, and secured integrations with Autotask, ConnectWise, NinjaOne, and HaloPSA ahead of general availability in July. The platform already supports SOC 2 Type II compliance and marketplace presence through Pax8 and Sherweb.
