Earlytrade, the construction-focused early payment platform, has raised $25M in total funding including a Series A led by S3 Ventures and Brick & Mortar Ventures. The platform lets general contractors offer voluntary early payments to subcontractors through an auction-based dynamic discounting marketplace. GCs earn returns of 4-5x money market rates while subs receive payments about 28 days earlier on average. The capital will support US expansion and deployment of agentic AI across its payments ecosystem.

Construction Payment Delays Fuel Demand

The timing aligns with persistent cash flow pressures in construction, where 43% of subcontractors lack sufficient working capital and 74% of firms face severe cashflow crises. Earlytrade's marketplace model requires no change to existing processes and integrates with major ERPs including Procore, CMiC, Oracle, and Sage. This stands apart from competitors that rely on third-party capital or factoring arrangements.

Auction Model Targets Subcontractor Liquidity

Earlytrade operates a pure marketplace where subcontractors opt in invoice-by-invoice and set their own discount rates. GCs fund payments from their balance sheet without touching client funds or introducing debt. The approach has delivered a 2.47% average discount rate, 23.41% conversion rate, and demonstrated 12% margin increases for contractors. Over $3B has been paid early across a network of 211,000+ subcontractors.

As Charlie Plauche of S3 Ventures noted:

"Every dollar that flows through a construction project passes through a payment bottleneck."

Mission Capital Validates Built-World Focus

Brick & Mortar Ventures, which focuses exclusively on technology for the built world, led the round alongside S3 Ventures. The investment signals conviction in non-debt liquidity solutions for construction. Earlytrade has relocated its incorporation to the US and added board members including Scott Wolfe, founder of Levelset.

Supply Chain Finance Market Expands

The broader supply chain finance market is projected to grow from $8.1B in 2025 to $15.8B by 2034 at a 7.68% CAGR. Earlytrade's agentic AI roadmap targets automated negotiation in this space, building on 7X US revenue growth since the 2024 launch. The company now operates across the US, UK, Australia, Canada, Ireland, and New Zealand.

Hiring Push Follows Series A

With the round closed, Earlytrade is actively hiring for AI, product, and sales roles to scale operations and accelerate AI integration. Recent partnerships include a preferred status with BuildingPoint Australia for Trimble ecosystem distribution.
