Dify Raises $30M Series Pre-A for Agentic AI Workflows

Dify raised $30M Series Pre-A led by HSG for open-source agentic AI workflows. Visual platform with 131k GitHub stars enables enterprises like Maersk to deploy production RAG and agents rapidly.

Dify, a global open-source platform for agentic AI workflows, has raised $30M in Series Pre-A funding led by HSG. The platform enables teams to build, deploy, and manage production-ready RAG pipelines, agents, and observability tools visually. The capital will accelerate its 2026 roadmap for enterprise-grade features.

Agentic Platforms Draw Mega-Rounds

The raise follows n8n's $180M Series C at $2.5B valuation in October 2025, while FlowiseAI was acquired by Workday for an undisclosed sum in August 2025. Langflow joined DataStax (now IBM) earlier in 2025. Dify's open-source model with 131k GitHub stars targets production scalability missing in many rivals.

Enterprises Struggle with AI Production

Over 280 enterprises including Maersk and Novartis use Dify, yet 90% of AI projects fail to reach production due to complexity in orchestration and governance. Traditional code-heavy tools like LangChain demand weeks of infra setup. Agentic workflows require human-in-loop and multimodal RAG, amplifying deployment challenges.

Visual Builders Enable Rapid Deployment

Dify combines no-code visual orchestration with enterprise security for on-prem and cloud. Unlike n8n's general automation, Dify focuses on LLM-specific tools like Human Input Nodes and Agentic RAG. Recent v1.13.0 adds dynamic forms and timeout handling for hybrid workflows.

As Luyu Zhang, Founder & CEO noted:

"AI is moving from demos to production systems."

This addresses prompt drift and scaling to 10K+ users per org.

China VCs Back Open-Source Infra

HSG led with participation from GL Ventures, Alt-Alpha Capital, and returning investor 5Y Capital, signaling conviction in open-source AI amid China's tech export push. The $180M post-money valuation reflects GitHub's 51st most-starred project status. Investors validate Dify's shift to agentic apps for biomedicine and finance.

AI Agents Market Scales Rapidly

The AI agents market stands at $7.84B in 2025, projected to reach $52.62B by 2030 at 46.3% CAGR. LLMOps hits $7.14B in 2026 with 21.3% CAGR. Capital flows into platforms operationalizing LLMs, as seen in CrewAI's $18M Series A in October 2024.

Open-source leaders like Dify surpass LangChain in stars, powering 1.4M machines across 175 countries. Enterprises favor its plugin marketplace with 100+ integrations over proprietary stacks.

Ex-Tencent Team Drives Scalability

Founder Luyu Zhang led Tencent Cloud's CODING.NET DevOps platform, directly informing Dify's LLMOps focus. Co-founder Junchen Yan handles GTM, complemented by ex-Meta CMO Zheng Wang and ex-GitLab Warren Wong. This ex-FAANG bench supports 10K+ team deployments.

Global Expansion Powers Roadmap

Dify plans 2026 enhancements like advanced agent capabilities alongside meetups in Seoul (130+ attendees), Europe Tour, and partnerships with Claranet and NeuroSYS. Funds target U.S. scaling from SF Bay offices and AWS integrations, following 2025 Social Impact Partner award.
