Coachbetter, a Switzerland-based developer of an all-in-one operating system for grassroots football clubs, has raised $8.2M in Seed funding. The platform unifies club operations such as registrations, payments, and communications with coaching tools including session planning, player tracking, and video analysis. The capital will support global expansion and product development.

Digital Tools Reshape Amateur Soccer

The timing aligns with accelerating digital adoption among youth and amateur clubs. Coachbetter's approach integrates professional-grade coaching methodology from partners like Manchester City with everyday club management, filling a gap left by generic administrative platforms.

Admin Burden Slows Coach Development

Grassroots coaches and volunteers spend excessive time on fragmented tools for registrations, payments, and session planning. This diverts focus from player development, with reports indicating clubs achieve 20% reductions in admin work once unified systems are adopted.

Unified Platform Integrates Coaching and Ops

Coachbetter combines its Coachbetter App for training planning with over 700 exercises, video analysis, and player assessments alongside Club OS for member management and payments. It also offers UEFA-aligned coach education and CityCoach content from Manchester City.

This differs from broader youth sports tools that prioritize scheduling over deep soccer-specific development features.

Swiss and Sports Tech Investors Back Growth

Investors including Brighteye Ventures, Swiss Founders Fund, and Knife Capital participated, signaling conviction in sports tech SaaS models that target both European federations and expanding US and Australian markets.

Sports Coaching Platforms Scale Rapidly

The sports coaching platforms market stands at $4.2B in 2025 and is projected to reach $9.8B by 2034, growing at 9.8% CAGR. Rising participation in youth soccer and demand for affordable SaaS tools after the pandemic are drawing capital into integrated solutions.

Hiring Signals US and Germany Push

Recent job postings for sales and customer success roles in Germany, alongside partnerships with clubs like Borussia Dortmund and Adelaide United, point to targeted expansion in key regions. New masterclass series with Manchester City figures further strengthen the platform's educational edge.
