Always Friday, a Milan-based AI-native platform for corporate event planning, has raised €1.05M ($1.2M) in pre-seed funding led by Vento Ventures and P3 Ventures. The platform automates venue sourcing, vendor negotiations, budgeting, and execution tracking using AI agents, supported by event experts. The capital will scale AI agents and build a proprietary database of event suppliers across Italy and Europe.

Europe Seed Wave Fuels Event Tech

The raise aligns with a €2.4B surge in European tech seed funding in 2025 per Tech.eu. French rival Naboo secured $70M Series B in February 2025. Meanwhile, Cvent pursued $700M in acquisitions in late 2024. Always Friday targets Italy's corporate offsites and team buildings with localized AI automation.

Manual Processes Bog Down Organizers

Corporate event planning relies on fragmented manual work, from sourcing venues to managing vendors and invoices. Italian firms like Dolce & Gabbana and Docebo have turned to Always Friday for relief per Forbes Italia. The company reports 5x YoY revenue growth, with Q1 2026 matching full-year 2025 figures according to Tech.eu.

AI Agents Slash Planning Time

Always Friday's platform uses AI agents to contact thousands of vendors in parallel for real-time pricing and availability. It structures event briefs, compares proposals, tracks execution, and handles consolidated invoicing. Unlike global platforms like Cvent or Bizzabo focused on registration, it emphasizes end-to-end operational automation for HR and marketing teams.

As CEO Gianluca Sordano noted:

“We’re building a platform that brings structure and automation to an industry that still runs largely on manual work.”

The AI co-pilot F.R.I.D.A.Y. provides human-like oversight while cutting tasks from weeks to hours.

VCs Eye AI-Native Agency Model

Vento Ventures and P3 Ventures led the round, joined by angels like Marco Migliore and Arnaldo Borghesi per Startupbusiness.it. This syndicate signals conviction in AI agents transforming Italy's event sector, echoing Y Combinator's 'AI-native agency' trend. Investors back expansion of proprietary data on venues and suppliers.

Event Software Market Set to Double

The global event management software market stands at $15.5B in 2024, projected to reach $34.7B by 2029 at 17.4% CAGR per MarketsandMarkets. AI integration drives this growth, with trends toward automation and personalization. Always Friday positions as a localized player amid consolidation by incumbents like Cvent.
